Burning of the Feminine:
Cast wax and encaustic covering ( 2012).

A series of 5 candles hung burning over water trays and book.  The figure started as a torso burning from inside the vagina.  As the candle burned it hollowed out the form and created a vessel of glowing light.

Invisible:
Melted Ice and Sand. (2012)

What interested me most in this work was what was left behind when the ice had melted.  The shells intrigued me in how they collapsed as empty vessels, once holding the body and now shriveled as if decaying.

The reflected light that day was amazing as a storm moved into the area.  Figures carry their damaged boats to an unknown destination
